New Mutant

…Oh jeez…

Yep, I’ve got it. You’re probably not too happy that I’ve disappeared with no explanation off the face of this planet more than a year ago with no explanation whatsoever. (Assuming that anyone is reading this…)

Trust me, I’m not to pleased about it myself. I deserve a nice kick in the head as well, because in full honesty, nothing really has happened since the last post.

That’s right. Zip, zilch, nada. Perhaps I’m only compelled to start up again now because something of worth has happened. Well, maybe not the only reason, but it certainly helped get my rear back in gear for this gig, with a redesigned logo and everything.

More on that later. Formalities first, you know.

So those who do know what this is and what it’s all about and have been on board for some time, welcome back. And those who don’t know what this is, I’ll advise you to direct your attention to the links to the right, rather than give myself yet another re-re-re-reintroduction. But since you’re already off reading this, I’ll give you this brief synopsis: We’re a family of mutants living in the comforts of an ex-scientist’s mansion located conveniently in the middle of nowheresville. My self-given name is Red due to my hair, and my experiment name (which I use also as a last name) is Starbird. We have a large history on our plates that explains why we’re in this place in our lives, and that’s where the links come in handy.

There are ten of us mutants and one adult non-mutant. The mutants, whom I assume you already know or are about to become familiar with: Me, Ulric, Trin, Fang, Andy, Axel, Katrina, Aaron, Linda, and, a new face, Trio. I’ll just assume you know what their powers are, except Trio, codenamed “Pixie”. I’ll explain her power. She came in during this year when the blogs were down. She’s fourteen and has a very deadly power. She makes what she called “pixie dust”, which is a soft term for what she actually does. To be blunt, she can excrete spoors from her fingers that explode when they come into contact with anything solid. She can project them in two ways; by making a cloud of dust or shooting it from her fingertips like a bullet. It’s a very strange power, but, then again, I’ve concluded that we mutants are designed for war and therefore our powers make sense in that context.

As I’ve said, we live in a mansion belonging to a man named Dr. Gale Kephason, who is an ex-scientist for the secret lab we were created in. He quit for moral reasons and has decided to take us mutant escapees in as a way to make up for it.

There used to be twelve of us mutants, but two of us—Kyle and Maxine—have disappeared. It’s kind of unnerving, because Andy (kid with strong telepathic capabilities) had said they’re thinking about going back to The Society, the lab. Thus they can reveal our location to the madmen and ruin our precious little utopia. I never trusted them.

But I guess I'll have to leave more info for another time. I've got more big news, but it'll have to wait. Hang tight though. It's big.

Oh, and by the way, Fang and I are dating.

WOW. This blog is so in the rough right now. I'll fix this later. Right now, gotta fly.
